Turtle Bay Resort is an award-winning resort on the north shore of Oahu that is focused on sustainability, winning the “Leader in Sustainability Award” from the Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association. The resort was looking to lower their energy costs in a sustainable way when they turned to REC Solar.
REC Solar designed and built a rooftop system and
ground mount systems on the facility’s golf course and
water treatment plant. Combined, the systems reduce
energy use and will save $2.5 million over the next 20
years. Turtle Bay Resort is considered the first major
Oahu resort property to have a rooftop installation,
demonstrating their high level of commitment to the
environment in Hawaii.
“These conservation projects are helping us to be more ‘green’ with our operations, as we fulfill our vision for a more sustainable future of Turtle Bay Resort…”
Scott McCormack, Replay Resorts & Turtle Bay Resort VP of Real Estate
