Solar Incentives for Oregon
Oregon’s leadership around energy sustainability is unprecedented. With aggressive state carbon reduction goals, a new Renewable Energy Standard, and one of the most progressive commercial solar incentive programs in the country, Oregon has aligned its policy with its passion. Our skilled consultants will work with you to evaluate, specify and install the right solar power system to meet your needs.
Oregon Business Energy Tax Credit (BETC)
The Oregon Business Energy Tax Credit (BETC) currently covers up to 50% of your eligible solar system cost. The BETC (or "betsy" as it is referred to) is taken over a five year period, and your companies financial experts can work with REC Solar to determine how this is realized. For those with a limited or no Oregon state tax liability, there is the option to "pass-through" the BETC to another party who does have the tax liability. REC Solar will find those partners if that is determined to be the best option. For more information, please click here.
30% Federal Tax Credits for Commercial Businesses
The US government currently offers commercial solar system owners a 30% tax credit after the first year, making solar an even smarter financial investment.
Energy Trust of Oregon (ETO)
The Energy Trust offers cash incentives for eligible commercial systems. There are two incentive categories - one for for-profit commercial facilities and one for non-profit businesses. For more information, please click here.
