The County of Ventura aimed to lower its environmental impact by reducing and offsetting energy as a part of its Climate Protection Plan. The County hoped to do so by installing solar at its Government Center, Moorpark WWTP, Juvenile Justice Center, and Todd Road Jail.
REC Solar created four systems for the County of Ventura,
which total 4.73 MW. These projects help the County
reach their goals of sustainability and provide price
stability for the municipality. The Moorpark Wastewater
Treatment Plant system allows the county to provide
stable rates to their ratepayers.
“We were impressed with REC Solar’s reliable and durable installation at the Moorpark Wastewater Treatment Plant and are pleased that they did the same at our Todd Road Jail facility.”
