The Director, Tax will lead and manage the company’s tax function across all jurisdictions. This role is responsible for the strategy, compliance, reporting, and planning for all direct and indirect taxes, including income tax, property tax, sales & use tax, and energy-specific tax incentives and credits. The Tax Director will play a critical role in supporting the company’s growth, structuring project-level investments, and ensuring compliance in a dynamic regulatory environment.

Strategic Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company’s overall tax strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting the company’s tax position.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and coordinate tax due diligence efforts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Legal, Development, and Project Finance teams to advise on tax impacts of transactions and business activities, including investment tax credit (ITC) analysis.
- Support tax structuring for complex entities, including partnerships, joint ventures, and tax equity arrangements.

Reporting & Compliance
- Lead the preparation and review of direct taxes including federal, state, and local income tax returns (corporate and partnership) and franchise taxes.
- Timely file and pay monthly, quarterly, & annual indirect tax
- Ensure compliance with state and local sales & use tax, property tax, and gross receipts tax requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Maintain accurate and timely tax records and reporting to support financial audits and internal reporting.
- Manage external consultants for timely and accurately completing preparation and filing
- Lead audits and manage exemption certificates, nexus reviews, and registration processes.
- Develop strategies to optimize indirect tax positions, especially in the context of solar equipment procurement, project construction, and property tax minimization strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA and/or Master’s in Taxation preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive tax experience; experience in the renewable energy or infrastructure sector strongly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local tax laws, especially as they relate to partnerships, LLCs, and renewable energy credits.
- Demonstrated experience with both direct and indirect tax compliance and planning.
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 740 and GAAP tax accounting.
- Knowledge of IRC 743 and tax consideration related to transfer of ownership
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

- Experience with tax equity structures (e.g., partnership flips, sale-leasebacks, or inverted leases).
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct or equivalent) and tax reporting software.
We are seeking a highly motivated, self-disciplined Manager to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive spare parts strategy for our distributed generation (DG) solar portfolio. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that blends strategic planning with operational implementation. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable designing systems and processes as they are receiving, inventorying, and shipping parts in the field.

Program Strategy & Development
- Collaborate with the VP of Technical Asset Management to define and build the spare parts strategy across a growing portfolio of DG solar assets.
- Build and present the business case for a centralized warehouse, including location analysis, lease evaluation, and operational planning.

System Implementation
- Support the design, configuration, and rollout of the selected inventory tracking system.
- Establish and maintain a system which meets operational needs for tracking, reporting, and auditing spare parts across all locations.
- Train internal users and external partners on system use and best practices.

Operational Execution
- Receive, catalog, and ship spare parts as needed, particularly during program ramp-up.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory at all storage locations to ensure accuracy and availability.
- Coordinate with field technicians, O&M providers, and logistics partners to streamline parts flow and minimize downtime.
- Establish inventory thresholds and develop a streamlined replenishment program.
- Work closely with Procurement, Field Operations, and Engineering to forecast spare parts needs and optimize stocking levels.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, or operations, preferably in the renewable energy or utility sector.
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale inventory programs from the ground up.
- Experience managing inventory across multiple distributed locations.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, logistics, and ERP/inventory systems.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills; able to manage both strategic planning and day-to-day execution.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Willingness to travel and perform physical tasks in warehouse or field settings.
- Must get excited about efficient spare parts management and organization.

The Technical Asset Manager will be responsible for the operational performance, maintenance oversight, and technical optimization of a portfolio of distributed generation solar and storage assets. This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive professional with strong technical acumen, capable of leveraging performance data and contractor relationships to maximize asset availability and production. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across teams and systems in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations of solar PV and storage assets within assigned portfolio. Monitor performance metrics and identify underperformance to ensure assets meet or exceed forecasted production.
- O&M Management: Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely and effective execution of preventative and corrective maintenance. Review maintenance reports, manage warranty claims, and ensure resolution of system issues. Manage all vendor SLAs. Manage all P.O. generations and invoice approvals for allocated portfolio. Includes management of all vegetation maintenance and module washing where and if required.
- Performance Optimization: Manage and validate loss allocations to accurately assign and categorize monthly losses. Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Implement technical solutions and manage field interventions to enhance asset performance.
- Reporting & Compliance: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual operational reports for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- New Site Onboarding: Support commissioning and transition of new assets into operations. Review and organize as-built documentation and ensure proper setup in asset management platforms.
- Financial Support: Manage real-time O&M budget. Assist in budgeting and forecasting for assigned assets. Provide technical data, documentation and insights to support insurance renewals, claims, invoicing, and other compliance-related activities.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and refinement of scalable systems and procedures for asset monitoring, maintenance tracking, and reporting. Collaborate with internal teams to improve operational workflows. Adopt new systems as they are rolled out.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with Commercial Asset Management, Finance, and Development teams to ensure alignment on asset performance, reporting, and compliance. Serve as a technical resource across departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in solar or renewable energy operations, with direct experience in technical asset management.
- Familiarity with solar equipment, technologies (legacy and emerging), and plant operations.
- Ability to read and interpret solar site plans and electrical diagrams.
- Experience with contract compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and stakeholder reporting.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in asset management platforms (e.g., Smartsheet, Salesforce), performance monitoring tools (PowerTrack, GPM, etc), and reporting software.
- Preferred: NABCEP certification, OSHA 10/30, experience with battery storage and commercial rooftop projects.

REC Solar is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing finance and accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for full-cycle accounting across multiple legal entities, including those involving complex tax equity and debt financing structures. This role will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, support compliance efforts, and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This role offers opportunities for advancement within the finance team as we continue to scale.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, monthly close and reconciliations for multi-entity operating portfolios & business groups
- Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation
- Financial reporting & variance analysis: GAAP financial statements, budget variance reporting, asset operating reports, management reporting, and debt compliance
- Collaborate with across departments and external stakeholders to support the accounting, budgeting, and forecasting process
- Support annual audits, tax filings, and ensure regulatory compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate accounting for tax equity partnerships: e.g., capital account tracking, allocations, and distributions
- Record and monitor project-level and corporate debt obligations, including interest accruals, covenant compliance, and amortization schedules
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of accounting systems, processes, and internal controls
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 4 – 7 years of accounting experience (renewables a plus)
- Proficiency in Sage Intacct, Datarails, or similar ERP and reporting packages
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and basic US ax concepts
- Strong Excel skills and analytical mindset; ability to leverage complex functions
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, do research, take the initiative to identify and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Ability to collaborate and communicate complex ideas to a dynamic and growing organization
Preferred Experience
Applicants with experience with the following will be given preferred consideration:
- CPA or progress toward CPA is preferred
- Renewable energy, infrastructure, utilities, or project finance environments
- Experience with tax equity accounting, partnership accounting, and debt financing
- Familiarity with partnership flips, inverted leases, and other finance structures
- Experience working at or with IPPs, energy developers, or private equity firms
- Financial Modeling; working understanding of HLBV
- Exposure to consolidations and intercompany eliminations
- SME with previous ERP and reporting tool implementations
