Case Study

Valley Fine Foods

“We were very pleased with REC Solar’s planning and execution. They worked with our schedules, and their crew coordinated with our maintenance team, so there was no disruption to our production.”

Ryan Tu, Valley Fine Foods President

The Scenario

Valley Fine Foods is a family-owned gourmet food manufacturer built on core values of customer service and quality products.

As the company expanded, it wanted to offset rising energy bills by maximizing the space available at two California facilities.
While they initially evaluated wind energy, the energy production and return on investment for solar proved to be a better fit for the company’s goals.

The Solution

REC Solar was selected to build a rooftop system in Benicia, along with an array combining rooftop and ground mount systems at the Yuba City facility. Together, the systems offset a majority of energy costs for the building’s larger meters.
